MONROE, Conn. — The Panthers and Joel Barlow Falcons Unified Sports teams played a soccer game at Masuk High School on Nov. 12.
The day began with warm up exercises for both teams, before a game of four five-minute periods. Every athlete played in the contest with their partner.
Spectacular goals were scored by athletes from each team and the goalies made incredible, timely saves.
The game concluded with friendly handshakes and a pizza party and players from each team were awarded medals.
“We have so much respect for the Joel Barlow Unified Sports Team,” said Masuk Head Coach Donald Casey Jr. “Dr. Almeida and his students are extremely friends. Our students really enjoy participating in Unified Sports events with our ‘Best Buddies’ from Joel Barlow High School. The students are excited to attend Joel Barlow’s second annual Unified Homecoming Dance on November 21, 2025.”
