Brayden Callahan recognized with Coach Carl Bodnar Leadership Award

Brayden Callahan was honored with the Coach Carl Bodnar Leadership Award.

Masuk High football player Brayden Callahan was honored before the team’s final game of the season, at Newtown on Nov. 26.

Callahan received the newly-established Coach Carl Bodnar Leadership Award, which recognizes the player who has served as the living embodiment of everything players strive to be as a Masuk Panther.

The award is named in honor of a man whose dedication and integrity shaped generations of Masuk athletes and left an everlasting impact on the Masuk football program.  This award is not about talent alone. It celebrates the profound qualities that truly define a leader: character, integrity and dedication.

Callahan was celebrated, in part, due to his dedication. According to a statement from the Masuk Athletics Department, Callahan “excels in every arena: achieving success on the gridiron, maintaining excellence as an outstanding student, and serving as a committed member of our community. (Callahan’s) actions, integrity, and leadership have inspired and motivated so many around him. This player is a cornerstone of our program, the standard bearer for Masuk tradition.”
