BETHEL, Conn. — Masuk’s indoor track team competed against Newtown, Harding, New Milford, Stratford, Notre Dame and Bunnell high schools in the Panthers’ opening meet last Saturday.
“We are so proud of every student’s performance during the meet,” Head Coach Donald Casey Jr. said. “Forty-four out of 82 students on the team competed for the first time in high school indoor track. Students competed to the best of their ability. Most important of all, students were safe, respectful to everyone during the meet, and great representatives of the town of Monroe and Masuk High School.”
Casey and assistant coaches Hannah Keating and Joseph Lato have been training the Panthers for one month leading up to the team’s first meet.
