STRATFORD, Conn. — Masuk High’s boys swimming team defeated host Bunnell-Stratford 87-74 on Tuesday.
In the first event of the meet, the 200 yard medley relay, Masuk’s three relay teams came in first, second and third — a clean Masuk sweep in the event. Another of Masuk’s relay teams, the 200 free relay consisting of junior Will Hardy, senior Carter Adragna, junior Mason Eannotti and senior Jack McHugh, placed first.
Having sealed the team win, Masuk went exhibition for the final three events. The meet featured an exciting 100 yard backstroke race. Eannotti and Hardy were neck and neck the whole race with Eanotti taking first place with a time of 59:39. Hardy came in second with a time of 59:56. In the 100 yard breaststroke, Adragna came in first by two body lengths.
The Panthers will visit Norwalk-Brien McMahon Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 4 p.m. and have their first home meet on Jan. 20 versus New Milford, also at 4 p.m.
