Masuk Indoor Track Head Coach Donald Casey Jr. congratulated all 18 of his school’s student athletes, who qualified to compete in the Class L Indoor Track Championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven on Thursday.
“We are extremely proud of every student-athlete who competed during the Class L Indoor Track Championships,” he said. “As a team, we achieved three personal records in specific events. In addition, sophomore Ryan Panella established a new school record in the Boys 600 Meter run with a time of 1:27.68, while earning a medal by finishing in 6th place.”
“Overall, all 82 student-athletes achieved steady progress in their specific events throughout the season,” Casey said of the Panthers’ team. “We had a lot of fun and will miss everyone so very much. Special thank you to assistant coaches Joseph Lato, Hannah Keating and strength/conditioning coach Justin Scarpati for a job well done.”
Among the Masuk athletes who competed in the championships were:
- Seniors: Jackson Zylick, Connor Fulchino, Brayden Callahan, Denson Sidne, Ella McGee, Jaydami Reid, Lorenzo Matthews Dixon and Jack Walser.
- Juniors: Brayden Hershberger, Filip Wadolkowski, Semia Zylick, Sebastian Riera and Cristian Cardona.
- Sophomores: Lexa Dizon, Natalia Fabryk and Ryan Panella.
- Freshmen: Clare Fulchino and Christopher Cerrato.

Boys 55 Meter Dash: Brayden Callahan, 19th place 6.89, personal record (PR); Jackson Zylick, 20th, 6.89; Connor Fulchino, 43rd, 7.01; and Denson Sidne 45th, 7.02.
Girls 55 Meter Dash: Ella McGee, 8th place 7.58; and Clare Fulchino, 37th, 8.02.
Boys 600 Meter Run: Ryan Panella, 6th place, 1:27.68, new all time school record, PR, medalist; and Brayden Hershberger, 11th place 1:30.18.
Boys 4 x 200 Meter Relay: Masuk 9th place, 1:36.45: Jackson Zylick, Connor Fulchino, Brayden Callahan and Denson Sidne.
Girls 4 x 200 Meter: Masuk 18th place, 1:57.81: Semia Zylick, Natalia Fabryk, Clare Fulchino and Ella McGee.
Boys 4 x 800 Meter: Masuk 17th place, 9:32.30: Filip Wadolkowski, Jaydami Reid, Christopher Cerrato and Sebastian Riera.
Boys 4 x 400 Meter Relay: Masuk 18th place, 3:50.44, PR: Cristian Cardona, Sebastian Riera, Jahdami Reid and Lorenzo Matthews Dixon.
Boys 1600 Sprint Relay: Masuk 14th place 3:53.90: Brayden Callahan, Denson Sidne, Ryan Panella and Brayden Hershberger.
Boys Shot Put: Jack Walser 38 ‘ 5 “, 14th place.
