MONROE, Conn. — Masuk High’s girls basketball team jumped out to an early lead and pulled away for a 55-26 victory over visiting Brookfield on Friday. The Panthers improved to 8-7 and held their second straight opponent to 26 points with dominant defense.
The Panthers were hot from the field and had great teamwork throughout the game with 21 assists on 22 field goals.
Maddie Farrer recorded a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds to go along with four assists.

Emma Troesser scored 12 points, had seven assists and grabbed six rebounds. Grace Sheppard dropped in 10 points, had three assists and five rebounds.
Izzy DeBernardo scored 12 points, all on 3-pointers. She hit two of them in the opening quarter as Masuk grabbed a 15-8 lead through the first eight minutes of play.
Sydney Lampley scored seven points and had four assists.
Masuk visits Kolbe Cathedral of Bridgeport on Monday at 7 p.m.
