MONROE, Conn. — Masuk softball coach Leigh Barone stepped down after leading the Panthers to a seventh consecutive state championship in 2025, and Masuk’s girls soccer team made history by capturing their school’s first ever Class L State Championship.
Though they didn’t win it all, the Panthers girls golf team enjoyed an unbeaten season and won the SWC Championship.
It was a year of conference championships, Hall of Fame inductions, outstanding performances in St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound, and an exciting playoff run by the Monroe 11u Little League All-Stars, among many of year’s top sports stories.
