Masuk Panthers roll 58-26 on the hardwood

Grace Sheppard, dribbling in a road game this winter, logged a career-high 23 points in a home win on Wednesday.

MONROE, Conn. — Masuk High’s girls basketball team defeated visiting and out-of-conference foe Amistad of New Haven 58-26 on Wednesday.

Grace Sheppard led the way with a game-high 23 points, hitting five 3-pointers. Emma Troesser scored 14 points and Sydney Lampley had a dozen.

Emma Troesser, in action this season, helped the Panthers to a 58-26 win on Wednesday.

Izzy DeBernardo contributed four points, Olivia Fensore and Elena Granata both had two, and Maddie Farrer added one point and 12 rebounds.

The Panthers improved to 7-7, getting back into the win column following a pair of hard-fought losses in South-West Conference action. Masuk fell 45-43 to visiting Bethel on Friday, Jan. 23, and lost 50-39 to host Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday.

Up next is a home game Friday night as Brookfield visits at 7 p.m.
