MONROE, CT — Masuk’s girls swim and dive team hosted FCIAC opponent St. Joseph of Trumbull on Sept. 16 and lost 100-76 and visited South-West Conference foe New Milford on Sept. 19 and won 100-78.
In the defeat to St. Joseph the Panthers had some good races, many of them close and exciting. Masuk earned first in the following events:
200 Individual medley – Laney Stillway
50 Freestyle – Lena Savkovic
Diving – Eliza Palmieri
200 Free Relay – Lena Savkovic, Laney Stillway, Skye Eannotti and Izzy Murzinska
100 Backstroke – Lena Savkovic
100 Breaststroke – Izzy Murzinska
Masuk beat New Milford at Canterbury School to make it 3-0 in conference meets. The team had the following top three results:
200 Medley Relay – Lena Savkovic, Laney Stillway, Izzy Murzinska and Skye Eannotti
50 Free – Izzy Murzinska
Diving – Eliza Palmieri
100 Fly – 1,2,3 – Laney Stillway, Ishani Tyagi, and Sienna Jones
100 Free – Lena Savkovic
200 Free Relay – The Panthers took first and second: Relay A: Lena Savkovic, Laney Stillway, Skye Eannotti and Izzy Murzinska and Relay B: Siobhan Smith, Sienna Jones, Stella Oliveira and Gabby Fonte
