WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Masuk High’s swimmers participated in the Class M State Trials at Cornerstone Aquatics Center on Saturday as the girls gear up for Wednesday’s championships, also to be held at Cornerstone.
Anastazja Malecka, Skye Eannotti, Betty Glus, Julia Iannotta, Izzy Murzinska, Stella Oliveira, Lena Savkovic, Laney Stillway, Grace Sheppard and Ishani Tyagi all competed and represented the Panthers with strong showings. Masuk had 14 best times among 21 events with competitors from 13 of those events headed to the finals.
Masuk’s Medley Relay (Lena Savkovic, Laney Stillway, Izzy Murzinska and Skye Eannotti) is placed 6th in the Top 8 A Final.
Lena Savkovic is placed 6th in top 8 A Final for 50 Free.
The 200 Free Relay (Izzy Murzinska, Lena Savkovic, Laney Stillway, Skye Eannotti) is placed 6th in the top 8 A Final.
Izzy Murzinska is placed 7th in the top A Final for 100 backstroke.
Lena Savkovic is placed 3rd in the top 8 A Final for 100 back. If she stays in 3rd she’ll make All State at Finals.
Betty Glus is swimming 200 free, Ana Malecka and Skye Eannotti swimming 50 free, Laney Stillway is first alternate for 100 butterfly, Izzy Murzinska swimming 100 free, Skye Eannotti swimming 500 free, Laney Stillway swimming 100 breaststroke, and Ana Malecka, Julia Iannotta, Stella Oliveira and Betty Glus are swimming the 400 free relay again in the Finals.
